Job summary

New World in Auckland is seeking a Customer Service, Online and Catering 2IC to support the department manager in daily operations, including checkout, online and catering. You will drive excellent customer experiences and lead a motivated team to maintain high standards.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and adaptability to work across shifts and technologies in a dynamic store environment.

Qualifications

Proven checkout experience or checkout supervisor experience is advantageous.
Previous experience in customer service is essential.
Previous experience in Online advantageous.
Great people skills and people leadership potential.
Reliable, honest and be a good team player.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Sound computer literacy and keen to learn and use the latest technology.
Flexibility with working days and hours.

Responsibilities

Create, drive and deliver customer experiences worth walking past the competition for.
You'll be responsible for supporting the department manager with the day-to-day running of the checkout, online and catering departments.
Ensure all customers' needs are met and they receive the highest quality customer service.
Support the department manager with rostering, and on going team training.
Setting the standards and ensuring they are met day in and day out.
Build relationships with the wider team and management to get the very best results.
Ensuring the responsible sale of alcohol and restricted sales.
