Job summary

Cultivate – SEEK Medium Agency of the Year 2023 & 2024 is seeking a customer-focused Account Specialist in Rolleston. You will manage a base of loyal customers by phone, build relationships, and upsell products without cold-calling.

You’ll also process orders, maintain accurate customer records, and handle day-to-day data entry with a high level of accuracy. Your day includes taking calls, identifying upsell opportunities to hit achievable targets, and keeping CRM and order records up-to-date.

Qualifications

• You have experience in a phone-based customer service or account management role.
• Experience with proactive upselling is beneficial.
• Strong data entry skills and accuracy are required.
• Calm, professional demeanor and reliability for early starts.
• Able to build ongoing customer relationships over the phone.

About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

Join a small, focused team at a well-known New Zealand food producer in Rolleston. You’ll manage a base of loyal, existing customers by phone, building relationships and upselling products (no cold-calling involved!).

Alongside the customer-facing side of the role, you'll also be responsible for processing orders, maintaining accurate customer records and managing day-to-day data entry. Strong attention to detail and accuracy will be important.

Your day-to-day

• Take customer calls and manage your existing accounts
• Identify upsell opportunities to meet achievable sales targets
• Enter, check, and update customer and order records accurately
• Keep system admin on track throughout the day
• Bring energy and enthusiasm to every customer interaction

About You | Māu

You’re someone who enjoys talking to customers and does well in a phone-based environment. You'll have experience in a phone-based customer service or account management role, ideally within a contact centre where building ongoing customer relationships is central to the work. Experience with proactive upselling will set you up well, along with strong data entry skills and a good eye for accuracy.

You’re calm, professional, and you'll handle difficult calls constructively. You’re dependable for 6am starts and consistent across a full shift.
