Job summary

Whangaparaoa College is seeking a Senior Mathematics Curriculum Lead to shape high-quality teaching and learning across senior programmes. You will work with the Head of Learning Area to design, implement, assess and review the curriculum to create strong pathways and enable learners to flourish.

You will lead teachers, drive assessment and moderation, and use achievement data to identify priorities for improvement, with a focus on NZQA requirements and engaging classroom practice.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of senior Mathematics and NZQA requirements.
• Ability to translate curriculum expectations into engaging classroom practice.
• Current full NZ teacher registration and practising certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, assessment and ongoing review of a coherent senior Mathematics curriculum.
• Provide curriculum and people leadership for teachers within your area.
• Lead robust assessment and moderation processes and use learner data to drive improvement.

You will provide clear curriculum and people leadership for teachers within your area, lead robust assessment and moderation processes, and use learner achievement data to identify priorities and drive improvement. You will bring excellent knowledge of senior Mathematics and relevant NZQA requirements, alongside the ability to translate curriculum expectations into engaging classroom practice.

All applicants must hold current full New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate.
