Job summary

Whangaparāoa College in Auckland is seeking an enthusiastic classroom teacher to join our Junior School. You will build strong relationships with learners and whānau, support literacy and numeracy development, and contribute to a culturally sustaining learning environment.

You will be reflective and adaptable, focused on the learning and developmental needs of Year 7–8 students, and collaborate with colleagues to implement our curriculum design and effective teaching model across classrooms.

Qualifications

• Must hold current New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate.
• Experience with Year 7–8 learners is advantageous.
• Ability to build strong relationships with learners and whānau.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and relationship-focused classroom teacher to join our Junior School. We are looking for a reflective and adaptable teacher who understands the learning and developmental needs of Year 7-8 learners. You will build strong relationships with learners and whānau, maintain high expectations and use evidence to respond to individual strengths and needs. Through collaborative planning and consistent practice, you will help learners develop strong literacy and numeracy foundations, positive learning habits, confidence, resilience and independence as they prepare for Middle School.
