Job summary

Open Country Dairy Ltd in New Zealand seeks a Compliance Specialist to ensure accuracy and compliance of customer technical documentation, product data and testing coordination.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will maintain product information in approved systems, prepare registrations and manage data quality across labs and suppliers, while supporting continuous improvement in compliance processes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated administrative, numeracy and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy with data.
• Experience with quality/compliance documentation in dairy/food sectors is desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update customer technical documents, attestations and product information forms.
• Maintain product specifications, testing data and customer-facing information in approved systems.
• Coordinate customer, periodic and specification testing with laboratories and internal teams.
• Prepare supporting documentation for registrations, renewals and supplier/customer compliance requirements.
• Identify data gaps and opportunities to improve compliance processes.

About The Role

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, you will help ensure customer-facing technical information is accurate, current and aligned with approved processes, customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll get involved in

• Prepare and update customer technical documents, statements, attestations and product information forms.
• Maintain product specification, testing and customer-facing information in approved systems and templates.
• Coordinate customer, periodic and specification testing, including laboratory communication and follow-up.
• Prepare supporting documentation for registrations, renewals, vendor approvals and customer compliance requirements.
• Identify data gaps, recurring issues and opportunities to improve compliance processes.

About You

You’ll enjoy detail, structure and working with information that needs to be right the first time. You’ll be confident following approved processes, asking questions when needed and working collaboratively with internal teams, customers, laboratories and third-party providers.

What you’ll bring

• NCEA Level 2 or equivalent recognised learning.
• 2–3 years’ experience in dairy, food processing, quality assurance, customer support or technical administration.
• Strong administrative, numeracy, computer and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and confidence working with technical information.
• A collaborative, reliable and service-focused approach.
• Qualification in quality assurance, food technology, dairy processing or a related field.
• Experience with customer-facing technical processes, ERP systems, master data, laboratory testing or product specifications.
