Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Receptionist for the Manukau Health Park Outpatients site. You will be the first point of contact for patients and whānau, delivering compassionate, professional service in a busy outpatient setting.

The role is a 12-month fixed term, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm at 901 Great South Road, Manukau. You will collaborate with clinicians and admin teams to support high-quality outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer-focused administration experience (healthcare preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients, whānau and colleagues.
• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with new digital systems.
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service with empathy in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at the outpatient front desk.
• Act as first point of contact for patients and whānau.
• Support clinicians, nurses and admin teams to ensure smooth patient care.
• Maintain calm, professional environment and accurate information flow.
