Healthvision is a family-owned homecare, community nursing and rehabilitation provider in Aotearoa, offering wraparound in-home health services to promote independence and wellbeing.

We are seeking a resilient, compassionate support worker to build trusted relationships with clients, assist with daily living, mobility and medical support, and help people live their best lives in the community.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Monday to Sunday 8am to 5pm.
• Previous healthcare experience is advantageous.
• Full New Zealand driver’s license is a must.
• Flexibility to travel and to work on a rotating roster.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is required.

• Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing).
• Assisting with household management and meal preparation.

Responsibilities may Include:

• Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing)
• Assisting with household management and meal preparation
• Supporting exercise programmes
• Assisting with accessing the community
• Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter care
• Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers
• Medication support

Job Location: Bay of Plenty - Whakatane
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time

We offer a range of employment opportunities including part-time, and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.

Days of work: Monday to Sunday 8am till 5pm. The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.

You are a calm but confident-natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of our service users. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling. It is rewarding when you are part of the support that enables a person to live their best lives in the community.

Candidate Pre-Requisites:

• Availability to work Monday to Sunday 8am to 5pm
• Previous experience in healthcare would be an added advantage and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided).
• Access to your own car and ability to drive Independently (a Full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
• Flexibility to travel
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
