Job summary

Pact Group in Greymouth, New Zealand, is seeking a Part-Time Community Support Worker focused on mental health. You will work with individuals to set goals, promote participation in daily activities, and support routines with dignity.

The role requires weekend availability, a full NZ driver’s licence, and a willingness to pursue relevant qualifications. You’ll join a supportive team and contribute to empowering people to thrive in a safe, inclusive environment, with ongoing development

Community Support Worker - Mental Health

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Support people with mental health challenges as they set and achieve personal goals
• Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
• Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
• Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
• Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
• And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!

This role requires flexibility to work a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts. You must be able to work weekends.

What you’ll bring

Our Greymouthteam is looking for someone with:

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A calm, positive approach, even when things get challenging
• A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
• A full driver's licence and basic computer skills
• A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3Health & Wellbeing) - or willingness to work toward one once you're on board
• The right to work in New Zealand (essential)
• Ability to work weekends is a must
