Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Queenstown, Otago, is seeking a Vehicle Service Agent to help keep our fleet in top condition. You will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and preparing vehicles for customers as part of a busy, welcoming team.

This entry-level, full-time fixed-term role runs through end of March 2027. Training is provided, and we offer parking, health and life insurance benefits, and staff discounts across Avis brands.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence.
• Previous hands-on or physical labouring experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work varied hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming returned vehicles.
• Assess vehicle for damages and report per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required.
• Refuelling tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth.

Job description

Calling all Working Holiday Visa holders for full-time, fixed-term (until end of March 2027) work over our busy season. Entry level position with training provided. Supportive, friendly and caring culture. Full-Time, Fixed Term work until end March 2027. Keeping our fleet looking like new is essential to our operations at Apex Car Rentals in Queenstown. About the Role

As what we call a Vehicle Service Agent your will be a key component to our operations. You will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles
• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required
• Refuelling tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth

What we are looking for:

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role
• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards
• As we operate 7 days a week from 8 am to 6:30 pm you will be required to work anytime during our operating hours which may include early mornings, evenings, full weekends and public holidays as required.
