Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a permanent part-time Cleaner (Facilities Operator) to support our parks, public spaces and facilities across Queenstown and surrounding areas. Reporting to the team manager, you will perform outdoor, physical cleaning tasks and light maintenance with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Ideal candidates will have a valid driver's license (manual preferred), enjoy outdoor work, and demonstrate a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• A full, clean driver’s license with ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a physical role.
• Good health and safety awareness and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect rubbish and dispose of it properly.
• Clean public amenities such as barbeques and bus stops.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of public bathrooms.
• Support horticulture team with gardening or asset inspections as required.

What does a Cleaner (Facilities Operator) do you ask?

Reporting to the team manager, you will be responsible for various duties including, but not limited to, rubbish collection and disposal, cleaning of public amenities such as barbeques and bus stops, and general maintenance and cleaning of certain public bathrooms across the Queenstown Lakes District and also could include supporting our horticulture team with gardening or asset inspections as required.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A full, clean full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
• The desire to work in an outdoor, physical role - a good level of fitness is required!
• A high health and safety awareness with a commitment to adhering to our company policies and procedures
• An awesome work ethic, self-motivation and be able to work well within a team
• Previous experience in a similar role/environment is preferred but not essential
