Job summary

Green by Nature in Queenstown is seeking a part-time Cleaner (Facilities Operator) to help maintain public spaces across the Queenstown Lakes District. You will handle rubbish collection, cleaning of barbeques, bus stops and bathrooms, with some horticulture support and asset inspections as required.

Qualifications

• A full, clean driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Comfort with outdoor, physical work and a good level of fitness.
• Strong health and safety awareness and adherence to policies.
• Team player with a proactive work ethic.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Rubbish collection and disposal for public spaces.
• Clean public amenities such as barbeques, bus stops and bathrooms.
• General maintenance and cleaning across sites; support horticulture tasks when required.
• Follow safety policies and work with the team to maintain community spaces.

What does a Cleaner (Facilities Operator) do you ask?

Reporting to the team manager, you will be responsible for various duties including, but not limited to, rubbish collection and disposal, cleaning of public amenities such as barbeques and bus stops, and general maintenance and cleaning of certain public bathrooms across the Queenstown Lakes District and also could include supporting our horticulture team with gardening or asset inspections as required.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A full, clean full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
• The desire to work in an outdoor, physical role - a good level of fitness is required!
• A high health and safety awareness with a commitment to adhering to our company policies and procedures
• An awesome work ethic, self-motivation and be able to work well within a team
• Previous experience in a similar role/environment is preferred but not essential
