Job summary

Green by Nature in Thames and surrounding areas is seeking a Facilities Operator to join our outdoor maintenance team. You will perform rubbish collection, cleaning of public amenities, and general site maintenance across Mercury Bay and nearby areas.

The role requires a full clean licence, ability to drive manual vehicles, and a proactive, safety‑minded work ethic within a collaborative team. Prior similar experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Requires a full, clean driver's license with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Must enjoy outdoor, physical work and maintain good fitness.
• Strong health and safety awareness and commitment to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Rubbish collection and disposal across assigned areas.
• Cleaning of public amenities such as barbeques and bus stops.
• Maintenance and cleaning of certain public bathrooms in Mercury Bay and surrounding areas.

What does a Facilities Operator do you ask?

Reporting to the team manager, you will be responsible for various duties including, but not limited to, rubbish collection and disposal, cleaning of public amenities such as barbeques and bus stops, and general maintenance and cleaning of certain public bathrooms across the Mercury Bay and surrounding areas.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A full, clean driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
• The desire to work in an outdoor, physical role - a good level of fitness is required!
• A high health and safety awareness with a commitment to adhering to our company policies and procedures
• An awesome work ethic, self-motivation and be able to work well within a team
• Previous experience in a similar role/environment is preferred but not essential
