Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a permanent part-time Cleaner (Facilities Operator) to keep Queenstown, Wānaka and surrounding areas clean and well maintained. You will report to the team manager and perform rubbish removal, public-space cleaning, and facility maintenance with flexibility on days worked to support a healthy work-life balance.

The role involves outdoor, physical work, a strong safety mindset and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A full, clean driver\'s licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
• Desire to work in an outdoor, physical role with a good level of fitness.
• High health and safety awareness with a commitment to adhering to policies and procedures.
• Awesome work ethic, self-motivation and ability to work well in a team.
• Previous experience in a similar role/environment is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Rubbish collection and disposal across public spaces.
• Cleaning of public amenities such as barbeques and bus stops.
• Cleaning of public bathrooms across the Queenstown Lakes District.
• Supporting the horticulture team with gardening or asset inspections as required.

What does a Cleaner (Facilities Operator) do you ask?

Reporting to the team manager, you will be responsible for various duties including, but not limited to, rubbish collection and disposal, cleaning of public amenities such as barbeques and bus stops, and general maintenance and cleaning of certain public bathrooms across the Queenstown Lakes District and also could include supporting our horticulture team with gardening or asset inspections as required.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A full, clean full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
• The desire to work in an outdoor, physical role - a good level of fitness is required!
• A high health and safety awareness with a commitment to adhering to our company policies and procedures
• An awesome work ethic, self-motivation and be able to work well within a team
• Previous experience in a similar role/environment is preferred but not essential
