Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Class 4/5 Driver to join our Invercargill team. This role offers a flexible 30-hour week with the option for up to 40 hours via metro runs, delivering and collecting freight across Southland.

You will load/unload safely, scan freight, deliver on time, and follow safety processes. A NZ Class 4 and Class 5 license, forklift OSH cert preferred, and a DG endorsement are valued.

Qualifications

• Clean Full NZ Class 4 License – must have.
• Clean Full NZ Class 5 License – must have.
• Forklift License with OSH cert – preferable.
• Dangerous Goods Endorsement – preferred.
• Customer-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience driving on New Zealand roads.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely by hand, or with forklift when required.
• Ensure freight is handled without damage.
• Scan all freight. If you touch it, scan it.
• Deliver and pickup on time and in full.
• Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures.
• Always operate your vehicle in a safe and legal manner.
• Take pride in your vehicle by keeping it clean and tidy.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand scaling from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

Due to internal movements, we have an exciting opportunity for a Class 4/5 Driver to join our Invercargill team!

Shift: Monday - Friday approx. 7.30am start

About the Role

This role offers flexibility that is rarely available in the transport industry. You can work a consistent 30-hour week operating a dedicated Southland run servicing local townships and one of our key customers, or, if you're looking for additional hours, there is the opportunity to pick up metro runs and increase your week to 40 hours.
