Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is hiring a Class 5 Driver for our Palmerston North branch to assist with collections and deliveries for a key customer. Shift is Monday–Friday, approx. 6.30am start, minimum 45 hours per week.

You will load/unload freight, ensure safe handling, scan all items, and deliver on time while following safety procedures. A NZ Class 5 license and NZ driving experience are essential.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Clean Full NZ Class 5 license (must have).
• Dangerous Goods endorsement is preferred.
• Forklift license with OSH certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely by hand.
• Ensure freight is handled without damage.
• Scan all freight; if you touch it, scan it.
• Deliver and pickup on time and in full.
• Participate in safety processes and procedures.
• Operate the vehicle in a safe and legal manner.
• Keep the vehicle clean and tidy inside and out.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

We're on the hunt for a Class 5 Driver to join our Palmerston North branch to assist with collections and deliveries with one of our key customers.

Shift: Monday – Friday, approx. 6.30am start, minimum 45 hours per week

About The Role - Mō Te Tūranga

This role will be responsible to assist with the timely safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals.

What You'll Do

• Load and unload freight safely by hand.
• Ensure freight is handled without damage.
• Scan all freight. If you touch it, scan it.
• Deliver and pickup on time and in full.
• Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures
• Always operate your vehicle in a safe and legal manner.
• Take pride in your vehicle by always keeping it clean and tidy - inside and out.
