Job summary

Team Global Express NZ is seeking a Class 5 Driver for our Christchurch branch to support collections and deliveries for a key customer. The role involves early start shifts, safe handling of freight, and strict adherence to safety policies.

You will need a clean NZ Class 5 license with D&G endorsements, forklift OSH cert, and a customer-focused mindset. This is a hands-on driving role with opportunities within a multinational network across the Trans-Tasman region.

Qualifications

• Clean NZ Class 5 license, with D and G endorsements.
• Forklift license with OSH certification.
• Diligence in safety, loading, unloading and handling freight.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely, manually or with forklift as required.
• Ensure freight is handled without damage.
• Scan all freight; if you touch it, scan it.
• Deliver and pick up on time and in full.
• Participate in safety processes and follow procedures.
• Operate vehicle safely and legally at all times.
• Keep vehicle clean and well maintained inside and out.

Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

We're on the hunt for a Class 5 Driver to join our Christchurch branch to assist with collections and deliveries with one of our key customers.

Shift:

Monday – Friday, approx 6am start

About the role - Mō te tūranga

This role will be responsible to assist with the timely safe handling of freight for the company to achieve their target delivery goals. Holding your Class 5 license with D&G and F endorsements are crucial to being able to fulfil this role successfully.

What you'll do:

• Load and unload freight safely by hand, or with forklift when required.
• Ensure freight is handled without damage.
• Scan all freight. If you touch it, scan it.
• Deliver and pickup on time and in full.
• Actively participate in all safety processes and procedures
• Always operate your vehicle in a safe and legal manner.
• Take pride in your vehicle by always keeping it clean and tidy - inside and out.
