Job summary

Stellar Recruitment Pty in Avondale is seeking a reliable Class 2 driver to join our team. You will drive modern Class 2 curtain-sider trucks, delivering products across the upper North Island, with most runs local or regional.

This role includes one overnight trip per week, some warehouse work, and lifting up to 25 kg. Monday–Friday starts at 6:00am, averaging ~45 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Valid Full Class 2 licence.
• Experience with local and regional deliveries.
• Well-presented with strong communication.
• Forklift licence is advantageous.
• Physically able to perform manual handling.
• Reliable and punctual in shifting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 curtain-sider truck.
• Deliver to Auckland, Waikato, BOP, Northland and Wellington.
• Load and unload your truck at customer sites.
• Assist with warehouse duties when not driving.
• Lift up to 25 kg regularly.
• Provide friendly, professional service at deliveries.

Job description

We’re a well-established manufacturing and distribution company based in Avondale, and we’re looking for a reliable Class 2 driver to join the team. This is a great long-term opportunity for someone who’s practical, physically fit, and enjoys a mix of driving and warehouse work.

You’ll be drivingmodern Class 2 trucks, delivering product across the upper North Island (Wellington and up). Most of your runs will be local or regional, but one overnight stay per week is part of the role – accommodation provided, of course.

This is a Monday to Friday role, with 6:00am starts, averaging 45-hours per week.

You will be:

• Driving a Class 2 truck – mainly curtain-sider
• Completing deliveries across Auckland, Waikato, BOP, Northland and as far as Wellington
• Manually loading and unloading your own truck on customer sites
• Assisting with warehouse work when not driving – unloading, putting stock away, etc.
• Regularly lifting heavy products (up to 25kg)
• Providing friendly, professional service at delivery points

What we’re looking for:

• A valid Full Class 2 licence
• Previous experience doing local and regional runs
• Someone who’s well-presented and communicates well – you’ll be dealing with customers daily
• Forklift licence and experience advantageous
• Physically fit – the job includes regular manual work
• Reliable and punctual – a solid work ethic is key
• Happy to work both on the road and in the warehouse
• Comfortable with one overnight trip per week
