Stellar Recruitment Pty in Auckland is seeking experienced Class 2, 4 and 5 drivers to join a well-established transport operation. You will transport palletised freight across Auckland and surrounding regions using modern curtain-side trucks and work with dispatch and operations to meet scheduled deliveries.

Shifts start between 5:00am and 6:00am and finish between 4:00pm and 7:00pm, with 50-55 hours per week.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 2, 4 or 5 Licence required.
• Experience transporting freight within logistics/transport industry.
• Experience operating curtain-side trucks.
• Knowledge of load restraint and freight handling practices.
• Commitment to safe driving and professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2, 4 or 5 curtain-side trucks.
• Deliver palletised freight across Auckland and surrounds.
• Complete pickups and deliveries within scheduled timeframes.
• Load, secure and transport freight safely.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch.

Job description

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Class 2, 4 and 5 drivers to join a well-established Auckland transport operation.

This role involves transporting palletised freight safely and efficiently across Auckland and surrounding regions using modern curtain-side trucks. You will be completing scheduled deliveries, maintaining high service standards, and working closely with dispatch and operations teams to ensure freight is delivered on time.

Unlike many driving roles, this position offers consistent hours, modern equipment, and a genuine pathway into long-term employment. Drivers are provided the opportunity to build a strong understanding of the operation and progress into dedicated driving responsibilities and greater opportunities within the business.

Pay rates:

• Class 2: $26.00 per hour
• Class 4: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
• Class 5: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Duties

• Safely operate Class 2, 4 or 5 curtain-side trucks
• Deliver palletised freight throughout Auckland and surrounding regions
• Complete pickups and deliveries within scheduled timeframes
• Load, secure and transport freight safely
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations teams and customers
• Follow all transport compliance, health and safety, and company procedures
• Assist with operational and yard duties when required

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Current New Zealand Class 2, 4 or 5 Licence
• Previous experience transporting freight within the logistics and transport industry
• Experience operating curtain-side trucks
• Experience handling palletised freight
• Strong understanding of load restraint and freight handling practices
• Knowledge of transport compliance and safety requirements
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable attendance and a proven work ethic
• Commitment to safe driving and professional customer service

Highly advantageous

• OSH Forklift Licence
• F Endorsement
• Dangerous Goods (DG) Endorsement
• Road Ranger experience
