Job summary

WM New Zealand in the Nelson region seeks a reliable Class 2 Driver to join our Nelson and Tasman team. You will operate vehicles and onboard equipment to complete timely and safe collections, while prioritising safety and compliance.

About the role
We are looking for a full time reliable and safety-conscious Class 2 Driver to join our team in the Nelson and Tasman region.

In this role, you will:

• Operate vehicles and onboard equipment to complete timely and safe collections
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and maintain accurate records
• Carry out occasional heavy lifting and climb in and out of the truck throughout your shift, so a good level of physical fitness is essential
• Champion health and safety practices, ensuring you and your team go home safe every day

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Customer-focused with great communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and able to handle a hands-on role

You will also need:

• A clean and current Class 2 New Zealand driver’s licence
• Relevant driving experience
