Job summary

AWF Limited is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver in Hawke's Bay to safely transport goods to customers and sites. You will perform daily inspections, load and secure cargo, and maintain accurate delivery paperwork, all while upholding health and safety standards.

The role requires a valid NZ Class 2 licence, good driving record, and strong communication skills. Training and PPE are provided, with potential for permanent assignments with key clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report defects.

• Maintain professional conduct when dealing with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload goods in accordance with safety requirements.
• Deliver products to customers and sites on schedule.
• Complete delivery documentation, logbooks, and paperwork accurately.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers and clients.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and traffic regulations.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean and presentable.
• Assist with general labouring, warehousing, or site duties when required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.

Skills and Experience

• Current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• Previous driving or delivery experience advantageous.
• Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations.
• Ability to manage delivery schedules and time effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
