Job summary

Dhindsa Transport Limited in Auckland seeks a full-time Class 2 Truck Driver to join a dedicated operations team. You will start and finish each shift in Auckland, working 30–45 hours on a rotational schedule across MON–SUN, including weekends and public holidays.

The role requires safe driving of Class 2 trucks, route planning, loading/unloading, customer interactions, and strict adherence to health and safety standards. A clean Class 2 license is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid and clean Driver License Class 2 or equivalent International Driving License.
• Proven ability to load/unload general freight safely.

Responsibilities

Job description

We have a vacancy for full-time Class 2 Truck Driver. The primary place to start and finish work will be in Auckland. You will be required to work between minimum 30 hours to maximum 45 hours from Monday-Sunday on rotation shift. Job Duties and Requirements:

• The offered responsibility is associated with freight transport operations.
• The employee is responsible for the safe transportation, loading, unloading, and handling of general freight.
• The employee is required to operate Class 2 Truck, plan delivery routes, secure loads in accordance with transport safety requirements, and conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• The role also involves direct interaction with customers, assessing site access requirements, coordinating delivery schedules, and resolving logistical issues that may arise during transportation and moving operations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable transport, health and safety, and industry regulations.
• Valid and clean Driver License Class 2 or equivalent International Driving License
• The position requires a high degree of skill, responsibility, and trust, as the employee will be regularly entrusted with customers' assets.
• Expected to exercise sound judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the company's reputation for professionalism and quality service.
• The employee will play an important role in coordinating freight operations, supervising loading and unloading activities, and assisting other team members to complete jobs efficiently and safely.
• Should have available for weekends and public holidays.

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $25 to $32 per hour.
