Job summary

Downer is seeking Class 2-4 Drive Operators to join the Wainui team, supporting maintenance and civil activities on roads, footpaths, kerbs and landscaping. You will operate a range of plant including tippers, rollers and loaders and work outdoors in a physically active role.

The role is based in Wainui, New Zealand, with a focus on safety, teamwork and reliable, independent work when required. A full Class 2-4 licence and prior civil construction experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full Class 2-4 Driver Licence.
• Experience in road construction and civil works is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a range of civil activities and maintenance on unsealed roads, footpaths and landscaping.
• Operate plant including tippers, rollers and loaders as required on site.

We are looking for Class 2 and 4 Drive Operators to join our Wainui team. Working for one of the largest infrastructure businesses in New Zealand, you will be involved in exciting projects requiring you to pick up civil work, the operation of heavy machinery and preparation of sites. You will be tasked with undertaking a range of civil activities, primarily supporting Maintenance work on unsealed roads, footpaths, kerb and channel and landscaping. You will operate a range of plant including tippers, rollers and loaders.

If you are physically fit and enjoy spending your days outdoors and on your feet, this could be the position for you.

You'll be a team player and confident operating independently as required. You'll also have:

• A Full Class 2 - 4 Driver License
• Have practical work experience in road construction and civil
• A passion for working outdoors and keeping physically fit
• Show commitment to safe work practices
