Job summary

Franklin Smith Group in Christchurch is seeking experienced Civil Carpenters to join our commercial and infrastructure projects. You will work on formwork, concrete pours, boxing, and large-scale sites across Canterbury, delivering quality workmanship.

The role offers long-term local work, a strong pipeline of projects, overtime options, modern gear, and opportunities to progress into Leading Hand or Foreman roles. Readiness to lead crews and work unsupervised is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil concrete and formwork.
• Confident reading plans and setting out.
• Experience with footpaths, bridges, retaining walls, foundations and structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil carpentry on large-scale projects across Canterbury.
• Read and interpret plans, set out work accurately.
• Work unsupervised and supervise crew to maintain quality.

This role is with a well-established contractor delivering major infrastructure and commercial projects across Canterbury. Strong pipeline ahead with ongoing work secured.
