Better Trade Solutions Ltd is seeking experienced carpenters for permanent roles in the Wellington Region, covering commercial, civil and residential projects. You will work on-site in Wellington, applying general carpentry skills across phases of construction and collaborating with well-known NZ builders.
The role requires a NZ Level 4 Carpentry qualification or overseas equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Better Trade Solutions Ltd – Wellington Central, North Island
We have permanent positions available for experienced carpenters based in the Wellington Region in commercial civil and residential projects working with some of the most well-recognised construction companies in NZ.
All aspects of general carpentry
Ability to interpret construction plans/working drawings
Prepare foundations - measure/cut/install formwork/falsework in preparation for reo and concrete
Prepare and erect timber framing, walls/roof trusses along with required fixings
Prepare/install all internal and exterior linings
Prepare building for various council inspections
All aspects of finishing carpentry works including doors, windows and skirtings etc
Trade qualified with a NZ level 4 certificate in Carpentry or overseas equivalent or a minimum of 3 years of relevant construction experience
Be fit with a great work ethic
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements in the construction sector
Eligible to work in NZ
Must be able to pass a preemployment drug/alcohol test and a criminal background check
The Employee is required to provide their own tools
Rates from $27.50 to $32.00 per hour
Minimum of 30 hours a week
Working Hours - Monday to Friday – between 7am and 6pm
Saturdays and/or Sundays – as required, provided that the Employee will not work more than six consecutive days in a row.
