Job summary

Hirestaff in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join an established residential construction team. You’ll work across architectural new builds, townhouse developments and renovations on well‑run sites with an experienced crew.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional Saturday work. This is initially a temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent after three months, subject to performance and ongoing workload.

Qualifications

• Recognised carpentry qualification required (Level 4 Certificate in Carpentry).
• Minimum three years' residential construction experience.
• Must have own tools and reliable transport.
• Strong health and safety awareness and team collaboration.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Qualified Carpenter to join an established residential construction team in Christchurch.

You’ll work across a mixture of architectural new builds, townhouse developments and full scale renovations. Sites are well organised, with a strong pipeline of work and an experienced crew that takes pride in delivering quality results.

Hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional Saturday work available.

This is initially a temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent after three months, depending on performance and ongoing workload.
