Job summary

Ministry of Social Development is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the CIAM delivery across multiple platforms and vendors. The role focuses on planning, governance and successful delivery through implementation and BAU handover in a complex environment.

You will coordinate with programme leadership, architecture, security, operations and business stakeholders to shape work and ensure readiness for transition. This is a 24-month fixed-term position based in Wellington.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex technology delivery initiatives involving multiple systems, workstreams and stakeholders.
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management, preferably CIAM capabilities and delivery challenges.
• Experience leading delivery across architecture, security, operations and vendor teams.
• Strong governance, risk, issue and financial management capability.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders in governance environments.
• Ability to plan and deliver operational readiness activities, including service transition.
• Strong collaborative leadership and ability to bring diverse teams around shared outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of MSD's CIAM capability across platforms and vendors.
• Coordinate multiple systems, workstreams and stakeholder groups to ensure alignment.
• Drive integrated planning, governance, risk and issue management activities.
• Lead implementation planning and delivery across technology, security and business teams.
• Ensure operational readiness activities are planned and delivered.
• Establish and support service transition and handover into BAU operations.
• Manage financials, delivery reporting and governance forums.
• Engage with architecture, security, operations and senior stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve delivery risks, blockers and dependencies.
