Job summary

Priya Limited, based in Alexandra, Otago, New Zealand, is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. You will cook bulk preparations and à la carte dishes, oversee your section, and help develop junior staff while maintaining high standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of relevant experience or a Level 4 professional cookery certificate, strong cookery techniques, and a commitment to food safety. We offer at least 30 hours per week with an hourly wage of NZD 27–30.

Responsibilities

• Maintain establishment policies and follow recipes and instructions.
• Set and maintain food safety standards in prep areas.
• Prepare dishes to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Order food and non-food items; manage stock.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure timely service and efficient workflow.
