Responsibilities

• Assist the Checkout Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and friendly service.
• Provide a strong customer service focus, promptly meeting customer needs.
• Manage the department in the Checkout Manager's absence.
• Train, mentor and support checkout staff to build a productive team.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and manage cash handling procedures.
• Ensure compliance with store policies, including health and food safety.
• Assist with rostering and scheduling of departments.
• Duty Management including responsibility for sale and supply of liquor.
