Job summary

New World Northwood is seeking a Checkout Supervisor/Operator to lead busy checkout duties and deliver outstanding customer service. You will help organise the checkout team and ensure smooth daily operations on the floor.

The role requires a positive, can-do attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well both in a team and independently. A liquor duty manager certificate is required for this position.

Job description

As a Checkout Supervisor/ Operator at New World Northwood, you'll be at the forefront of our busy Checkout department, providing great customer service and helping to lead and organise the checkout team.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service - scanning and packing groceries
• Organising the checkout team
• Authorising alcohol/ tobacco purchases

Hours

This is a fulltime position with hours and days to be discussed at interview.

About you

• You will have a passion for excellent customer service.
• Be able to work well as part of a team, but also able to complete tasks unassisted.
• Have a positive approach to the day and have a can - do attitude.
• Ability to show initiative and be honest and reliable.
• A liquor duty managers certificate is required.
