Job summary

Waikato Regional Council is seeking a Change Analyst for the IRIS Next Gen project in Hamilton or a hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on translating new processes into practical change impacts and supporting adoption across council teams.

This fixed-term role for 18 months requires strong change management experience on large IT projects, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams within local government.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ experience using complex business, systems or process analysis techniques, methods and standards.
• Change analyst or change management experience on a large-scale IT project in a complex organisation.
• Bachelor qualification in business or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Change management certification such as Prosci or ADKAR is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Document gaps and change impacts, assess readiness and adoption risks, and develop practical change, engagement, training and adoption activities.
• Understand new future processes and how they affect people, roles, hand-offs, controls and ways of working.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to surface insights and build agreement.
