Hawera Playcentre is seeking a Centre Coordinator to work 11 hours per week during term time, collaborating with centre whānau and support staff. The role focuses on building adult capability and confidence, providing high-quality pedagogical guidance to Playcentre whānau and ensuring sessions reflect Playcentre Philosophy to enrich children’s learning.

Qualifications

• Must have Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification Level 4+.
• Confidence using technology to support learning & administration.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsabilités

• Developing whānau to be the first and best educators for tamariki through rich, child-led experiences.
• Role-modelling and supporting the delivery of high quality, whānau-led sessions.
• Providing advice on curriculum, adult education and health and safety to support session delivery; ensure regulatory compliance.
