Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification Level 4+.
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
• First Aid certification required.
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Developing whānau to be the first educators for their tamariki by ensuring rich, meaningful, child-led curriculum experiences
• Role-modelling and supporting the delivery of high quality, whānau-led sessions
• Providing advice and support to centre whānau focusing on curriculum, adult education and health and safety to support session delivery
• Ensure sessions meet regulatory and legislative requirements including Health and Safety obligations
• Recognise the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and actively engage in promotion of Māori cultural values
