Job summary

Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a Centre Coordinator for two Playcentres in Whangamatā and Waihi. The role focuses on building adult capability and confidence so whānau lead sessions and centre responsibilities, aligning with Playcentre Philosophy to enrich children's learning.

You will provide pedagogical guidance, support session delivery, and ensure compliance with regulations while modelling leadership and collaboration within the centre whānau.

Qualifications

• Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification Level 4+
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
• First Aid certification
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations

Responsibilities

• Develop whānau to be the first and best educators for their tamariki with rich, child-led learning experiences
• Role-model and support high-quality, whānau-led sessions
• Provide advice and support to centre whānau on curriculum, adult education and health and safety
• Ensure sessions meet regulatory requirements including Health and Safety obligations
• Recognise Te Tiriti o Waitangi and promote Māori cultural values
