Job summary

NZCL is seeking energetic, motivated casual Support Workers to assist people in their own homes in Auckland Residential Services. You will help with daily activities, personal care, meals, and life skills, working as part of a team providing 24/7 support across rosters.

Ideal candidates are empathetic, flexible, with healthcare experience preferred, and a full NZ driver’s license. Rosters include overnights and weekends; training toward NZQA Health & Wellbeing is provided, plus support services

Qualifications

• Empathy and caring approach to enable people to achieve goals.
• Flexibility to work across shifts, including overnights.
• Strong communication with people supported and team colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily life activities and outings, like swimming, meals, and personal cares.
• Help with household tasks, meal preparation, and life skills teaching.
• Work in a team providing 24/7 support with potential sleepover payments on some rosters.
