Job summary

NZCL is seeking energetic, motivated casual Support Workers to assist people in their own homes in Auckland Residential Services. You will help with daily activities, personal care, meals, and life skills, working as part of a team providing 24/7 support across rosters.

Ideal candidates are empathetic, flexible, with healthcare experience preferred, and a full NZ driver’s license. Rosters include overnights and weekends; training toward NZQA Health & Wellbeing is provided, plus support services

We are looking for casual Support Workers to help the people we support in our Auckland Residential Services.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. - The list is endless! Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

• People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience with disabilities and challenges behaviours.
• Full driver's license is essential.
• Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts across a roster, including weekends.

Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
