Job summary

Health New Zealand in Greymouth is seeking a casual kitchen assistant to cover annual and sick leave. You will assist cooks, prepare meals for staff, patients and visitors, and help keep the workspace clean and organised.

The role offers a starting rate of 28.63 NZD per hour under the E tū Service and Food Workers collective, with time-and-a-half on weekends and double time on public holidays. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Skilled kitchen assistant with experience within a similar environment would be ideal.
• Excellent customer service & food preparation skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work autonomously as well.
• Physically fit and reliable.
• Strong time management skills.

About the Role

Our kitchen team are responsible for creating highest standard Food for ourstaff, patients and visitors. Following standardised recipes and using creativeflair to present food that we can be proud of while maintaining clean and tidyworking areas.A large part of this role is customer focused so you willneed strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with a wide rangeof people from diverse backgrounds. Training will be provided.

Salary
