Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Greymouth is seeking a casual Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in preparing and presenting meals for staff, patients and visitors.

You will deliver meals throughout the hospital, keep your workspace clean, and bring strong customer service and teamwork to a varied, fast-paced environment. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Skilled kitchen assistant with experience in a similar environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Physically fit and reliable.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our kitchen team are responsible for creating highest standard Food for ourstaff, patients and visitors. Following standardised recipes and using creativeflair to present food that we can be proud of while maintaining clean and tidyworking areas.

A large part of this role is customer focused so you willneed strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with a wide rangeof people from diverse backgrounds. Training will be provided.

Salary-Starting rate $28.63 per hour.Based on the E tū Service and Food Workers collective agreement.
