Job summary

Heritage Lifecare is seeking a Casual Healthcare Support Worker at Granger House Lifecare in Greymouth on the West Coast. You will assist with resident care, daily living activities, and support a warm, compassionate environment.

Shifts include AM, PM, night and weekends; prior care experience and a NZQA Health and Wellbeing certificate are preferred but not essential. Applicants must have right to work in NZ.

Qualifications

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally in aged care.
• NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Friendly, positive attitude and a love for helping people.

About This Role

• Located in a beautiful West Coast, Greymouth
• Casual (as and when required not on a regular basis)
• AM, PM, Night and Weekend shifts

You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills And Experience

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing) is preferred, but not essential.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
