Job summary

Heritage Lifecare’s St Joseph's Lifecare in Upper Hutt, Wellington, is seeking a caring Caregiver to support residents with kindness and patience in a warm, inclusive environment. The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, with AM, PM and Night shifts.

You will have proven experience caring for others, NZQA Health and Wellbeing cert (or equivalent), and strong communication and customer service skills. A proactive approach to health and safety, and a commitment to ongoing improvement, are

About Our Role:

• St Joseph's Lifecare, located in Beautiful Upper Hutt, Wellington
• Part‑time role (24 hours per week)
• AM, PM and Night shifts

You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Level Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing) is desirable.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
