Job summary

Summerset Waikanae Village is seeking a caring Caregiver to join a team delivering personal care and daily living support to residents. This full-time role involves providing compassionate assistance to residents’ daily lives in a village setting.

The position follows a 4 days on, 2 days off roster, totaling 60–80 hours per fortnight with shifts across mornings, afternoons and nights. Apply to join a supportive team where your care makes a real difference.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Health and Wellbeing Level 3+ qualification or equivalent.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off.

Responsibilities

As a Caregiver at our Summerset Waikanae Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes


• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering


• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises


• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a full time role working 60 - 80 hours per fortnight, on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster.
