Job summary

Summerset's Warkworth village is seeking a Casual Caregiver to join a warm, dedicated team delivering personal care and daily living support to residents. You will help with meals, hygiene and engaging activities, while contributing to a safe, enjoyable environment.

We value empathy, patience and strong communication. Availability across a variety of shifts, often at short notice, is essential to meet residents' needs. Summerset offers supportive teamwork and attractive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Warkworth village,you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:
