Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for our Richmond and Nelson villages. This casual, as-needed role focuses on personal care and daily living support, working with a team to keep residents safe, healthy and engaged.

You will deliver meals, assist with hygiene, support individual care plans, and participate in activities to enhance residents' quality of life. Availability for varied shifts, including short notice, is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Availability for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plan requirements, including walks and exercises.
• Help with activities, such as puzzles and table games.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Richmond and Neslon Villages you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
