Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Rototuna is seeking a caring Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities, meals, personal care and gentle exercise within our village. You will work as part of a compassionate team dedicated to creating a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for residents.

This casual, on-site role is focused on empathetic, patient care and building meaningful relationships with residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or similar role.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, including short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Assist with hygiene and daily personal care.
• Support residents with individual care plans, walks and exercises.
• Engage residents in activities and social interactions.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Rototuna village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
