Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Rototuna is seeking a caring casual caregiver to help residents with meals, personal care and daily activities, within a supportive village team.

You will bring empathy, patience and good communication, with availability for a range of shifts, including short-notice changes. Uniform provided and benefits apply to this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to be available for varying shifts, sometimes with short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene and daily living tasks.
• Support residents with activities and exercise as per care plans.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Rototuna village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.
