Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Lower Hutt is seeking a caring, patient caregiver for a casual role at Boulcott village. You will support residents with daily living, meals, hygiene and activities in a warm, compassionate team.

Experience in aged care or similar roles is preferred, with strong communication and a willingness to work varied shifts, including short notice. We value empathy, reliability and teamwork in delivering high-quality care.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Boulcott village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when required basis.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
