Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages in Hamilton is seeking a casual Caregiver to support residents with daily living, meals and personal care at Rototuna Village.

You will join a dedicated team, providing compassionate care, building relationships with residents and families, and contributing to a safe, enjoyable community. Flexible shifts, weekend options, and uniform provided are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes.
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Rototuna village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

Qualifications

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.
