Job summary

Summerset by the Sea Village in Katikati is inviting applications for a Casual Caregiver to help create a safe, healthy and enjoyable daily life for our residents.

You will provide personal care, assist with meals, hygiene and activities, and support residents with individual care plans. Empathy, patience and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication to build relationships.
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Assist with personal hygiene and showers.
• Support individual care plan activities like walks and exercises.
• Help residents with activities (puzzles, table tennis, etc.).

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset by the Sea Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
