Job summary

Summerset Mountain View Village in New Plymouth, New Zealand, seeks a caring caregiver to join our team and deliver personal care to residents. You will help with meals, hygiene and daily activities, while supporting individual care plans and mobility exercises.

The role operates on a 60–80 hour per fortnight roster (Friday–Monday night shifts). We value empathy, reliability and strong communication, and offer opportunities for progression with a supportive, values-driven team.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Summerset Mountain View Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident's daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This position works between 60 - 80 hours per fortnight, Friday - Monday night shifts.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people's lives.

You'll bring with you:

• 2+ years caregiving experience in an aged care environment
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
