Job summary

Bupa Merrivale Care Home in Whangārei is seeking a part-time Caregiver to support residents with mobility, documentation, and social engagement. Shifts are AM, average 31 hours per week, with a fixed roster including weekends.

The role requires a Level 4 Caregiving qualification with medication competency, aged care experience, and excellent communication within a multidisciplinary team. NZ work entitlement is essential.

• Hours: Average 31 hours per week
• Shift Time: AM shifts only
• Roster Pattern: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Tuesday and Wednesday Off)

Bupa Merrivale Care Home is located in Te Kamo, Whangārei, in a peaceful setting surrounded by landscaped gardens and close to Kamo Village.The home provides rest home and hospital-level care.

As a Caregiver,

• Assist with mobility in line with individual care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely care documentation
• Encourage residents to engage in social activities and community life
• Help create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and your teammates

What you'll needto make it possible

• Hold a Level 4 Caregiving qualification, with current medication competency and a strong understanding of safe medication practices
• Bring proven experience in aged care or a comparable healthcare environment
• Exhibit genuine passion for supporting the elderly
• Possess confident communication and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Hold legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
