Job summary

Maxwell Lifecare in Blenheim is seeking dedicated Caregivers to provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents in a warm, welcoming setting. The role offers permanent full-time hours with shifts covering AM, PM, night and weekends, located in sunny Blenheim.

The successful candidate will have NZQA Level 4 Health and Wellbeing or equivalent, at least six months of caregiving experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills to support residents with empathy and patience.

About Our Role:

• Maxwell Lifecare located in sunny Blenheim
• Permanent Full-Time (32 or more hours per week)
• Hourly rate $32.06 per hour
• AM, PM, Night and Weekend Shifts

You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing)
• At least six months of experience as a Caregiver or similar role.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
